miranda carter-watson

Miranda grew up between London and the north-east of England. She studied anthropology at SOAS and worked in social research before attending the National Film and Television School (NFTS) with a scholarship from The Garden. She currently works as a producer at Raw TV.

Her graduation film, LOLA follows a family from the perspective of their beloved pet dog.

Lola dolefully observes the break up of her family. There’s nothing she can do but sit and watch as her loved ones act out, argue, silently stew and finally leave. A heartrending look at the end of a marriage and a time of transition, through the innocent eyes of the pet dog.   Angie Driscoll - Hot Docs
